Being articulate brings many rewards but most adults reach nowhere near their potential to use the English language.  In large part this is because most language skills are developed in childhood and most children miss out on the tuition necessary to achieve their language potential.  This is despite dedicated teachers who try hard to provide these skills but who are not always given the time and resources necessary to accomplish this.

There is a pressing need for high-quality tuition to be available to children at reasonable cost and to fill this gap WordsPlease has been developed by professional teachers who have experience of how children learn English and how best to guide and motivate them.

WordsPlease achieves learning on several levels simultaneously, improving grammar, vocabulary and language structure, while building confidence in verbal and written communication and developing listening skills and empathy with the viewpoints of others.  This results in the ability to make convincing, reasoned arguments based on investigation and critical thinking.

WordsPlease also focuses on story writing and drama and develops children’s competence to visualise the plot of a story in its entirety, including scene settings and character development.

WordsPlease is new and unique in its design and content and it can take your children’s education to a higher level.  WordsPlease has been developed for children aged 10 – 14 but gifted younger children and some older children will also benefit greatly.

The learning points have been carefully structured in an iterative way that your children will find both challenging and enjoyable.  Each month WordsPlease provides over 30 hours of learning activities from which you and your child can choose the ones most beneficial and stimulating.  Even the most gifted children will find many of the activities demanding.

During their move from primary to high school, gifted children in particular can lose momentum during this often unsettling time.  WordsPlease promotes the right level of constant challenges keeping the children focussed and motivated throughout this period.
