Wordsplease is a website for gifted and talented children using the English Language to inspire 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 year olds. Children will learn about grammar (nouns, adjectives, verbs, similes, metaphors, alliteration, sentence structure, clauses), the history of spelling, reading modern and classic fiction and poetry (war poetry, limericks, text poems, tongue twisters) and many writing forms (newspapers, magazines, stories, character descriptions, scene setting, drama, formal and informal letter writing, persuasive writing, arguments). They will also learn about problem solving, codes, and crytic clues as well as creating educational language games. It is suitable for use by children who attend state school, private school, public school or children who are home educated. Wordsplease is designed to supplement and enhance previous learning through independent reading and writing projects.
